At STRONG BODY PILATES, we are dedicated to helping our clients feel strong, flexible, and invigorated. As with any type of exercise program, we suggest our clients see us 2 to 3 times a week... but we won't turn you away if you want to come more often!
The Pilates technique uses breathing, concentration, control, flow of movement, centering, and precision to get to the heart of the exercises.
You will learn how to use your breath as a way to move your body, oxygenate your muscles, and provide rhythm.
Controlling the muscles that are designed for stabilization and support are always challenged during a Pilates session.
These tools are important in everyday life, especially since we all spend too much time in unnatural positions bent over our computers. Degeneration sets in, bones become misshapen and joints become stiff and painful.
Pilates uses spring resistance to cushion the joints and encourage surrounding muscles to strengthen.
